HealthcareFirst acquires Kentucky analytics firm

HealthcareFirst Inc. closed last week on the purchase of a Louisville, Ky.-based analytics provider.

Bobby Robertson, CEO of the Springfield-based software development firm, said HealthcareFirst finalized the acquisition of Deyta LLC April 21 for an undisclosed amount.

“It was truly additive to our product mix, as opposed to acquisitions we’ve done in that past that were similar technology but older. This is synergistic with our current offerings and allows us to enhance the functionality, as well as further differentiate our product mix,” he said. “We’ve got analytics tools largely focused on the revenue cycle for our customers. They do analytics focused around patient satisfaction, clinical and operational.”

The acquisition adds over 70 employees to HealthcareFirst, bringing its employee count to around 230, Robertson said.

The chief executive said under the acquisition agreement, Deyta becomes a product brand of HealthcareFirst, and the Springfield firm’s existing electronic medical record products will be powered by Deyta’s systems.

HealthcareFirst in December relocated its headquarters to Springfield’s Tuscany Court fronting James River Freeway. The move consolidated offices in Ozark and Nixa, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.[[In-content Ad]]
